Accession: 1984.006.001 Object: textual record : pamphlet, printed Title: West Coast Railway Association Description: CPR car 'British Columbia,' The British Columbia was built by Barney and Smith Company in Dayton, Ohio in 1890 as a sleeping car named Sherbrook. The car served as a sleeper in the transcontinental services until 1910 when it was taken to the CPR Angus Shops in Montreal and converted to it's present form as a CPR official's car. The car has remained virtually unchanged since this rebuild, except for some minor mechanical upgrading.
